Terence S Jones – a guy with a camera

Altglass and (mostly) available light photography?

Olympus E-PM 1

I have been looking for a new camera lately that I can easily put into my pocket and that still delivers a decent image quality. While I *love* my other gear, especially my Leica, sometimes I just need something more compact. So I ended up with an Olympus E-PM 1 which is an interchangeable lens micro-4/3 camera. I paired it with the Panasomic Lumix G 20mm f/1.7 (which is a 40mm-equivalent given a crop factor of 2). So far I am very happy with the camera. Here is a pic of how it looks (mine is black). Shot is from Speed-Light; see his portfolio here.

Extremely small – extremely light-weight. Here are a few sample shots – some of them I post-processed pretty heavily:

yes indeed. I tried the new snapseed for mac. I was looking for a “quick fix” for some of my shots and works quite well ;-)

  2. Very glad I came across your blog! Really interesting and inspiring photographs and looking forward to your future posts. I have a Nikon d700/50mm lens but have been using my Olympus epl1 a bit lately and enjoy it!!

Terence S. Jones

Terence is an Atlanta-based photographer doing Altglass photography (vintage glass on mirrorless bodies) and (mostly) black & white available light photography - although lately he is feeling more like color. As many others out here, he is also a gear head eager on trying new gear and trying to find its place in the world of photography. He is definitely traveling too much. He loves Leica, in particular its glass, however he cannot afford a Leica M9 (yet?!).

So expect an inappropriate mix of travel photography, professional photography, gear reviews, news, and tutorials.
