Earlier today I arrived in Lisbon and after quickly dropping of my luggage I went out to relax and explore a bit.
Ok, I have to confess that it is not my first time in Lisbon (and probably also not my last time either). Lisbon has a very mediterranean atmosphere with narrow streets, older houses, and a lot of charm when you walk through the streets. Lots of history and tradition. A significant portion of the life is happening outside with street cafés, restaurants, parks, and generally a vibrant outside environment. For some über-weird reason I happened to walk almost exactly the same route as I did the very first time when I was here. It is almost as if there is some hidden path that you will automatically follow when you go with the flow. People seem to be rather happy and relaxed despite (or because?) their dire economic outlook – Portugal is one of the countries that receive emergency funds to stabilize their economy. I started at Cais do Sodré and walked north-east towards Baixa and Chiado.
Here are few shots from this afternoon, mostly wide to capture the atmosphere. TSJ
Great shots! 🙂
thanks a lot!
Nice shots and easy to navigate blog layout.
Nice photos!
Lovely shots Terence. You did capture the atmosphere. I’m wishing I was there. 😛
Great stuff as usual. Definitely not normal boring travel photography.
Thanks a lot! Lisbon is really amazing!
