A few weeks back I happened to end up in Eufaula in Alabama. It is a smaller city with some amazing southern style houses – but I have something else for you today. While driving down the streets I came by a pretty run down motor lodge, which attracted my attention.
As you can see, the pool was in excellent condition for an afternoon swim.
Their sign – the first thing I saw on the street when driving by. I am a total sucker for these…
Before continuing towards Atlanta, I stopped by a very cool pub. They had this amazing fridge – I would have loved to take it home…
… and this wall full with all types of license plates.
Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend — TSJ.
great pictures! ~amy
thanks! much appreciated!
Love the license plate wall! Nice series!
Thanks – the wall was really awesome. The whole bar was actually quite nice with lots of authentic stuff…
haha 🙂 Alabama. I used to watch the series Hart of Dixie and dream about living in Alabama. I like america. How come you ended up there. Dreaming of moving there, but it is almost impossible if you don´t already have a job there, it seems..
😉 I ended up there on my way back from Panama City Beach – more on that soon. I am still waiting to get my rolls back but the service that I am working with has proven to be really unreliable… You should come to the US – it is so diverse and nice…
Aha. You send them somewhere? You shoot with film?
i shoot both film and digital and waiting for the film ones to come back 😉 I love film!!
Aha. Interesting. You gave a old camera then?
Yeah – I shoot with an old leica m6 from 1994. I love this camera!
Nice. Good quality then!
Just got the rolls back – will post some shots soon! You should try film – it is fun!!
I have a 70’s koncis that I want to try out.
Nice – you will enjoy it! And post your shots!
Koncis? I´m not sure how I write anymore. Wrote from the cell, from the bus and the autocorrect in the phone is horrible. It is suppose to say that I have a 70´s Konica.
Yeah but that’s what I guessed 😉
haha 🙂 Yeah. Not many cameras that is named Koncis, at least I don´t think so..
get a nice roll of kodak portra 160 for it – my personal favorite – and enjoy. you will like it!
Ok. So the film matters as well. Kodak portra 160. Will remember.
It is one of my favorite (slightly desaturated and lower contrast) and rather easy to scan for the lab so that get nice colors…
Aha ok. 🙂
